Chinese Famous Tea-Taiping Houkui

Orchid-shaped green tea Taiping Houkui, produced in Houkeng, Houcun and Hougang in Taiping County, Huangshan, Anhui, is baked fixed green tea. The leaves are straight; two leaves holding a bud within.

Green with a natural orchid fragrance, its taste is fresh and sweet.

TIPS

Taiping Houkui is classified into three grades, namely Houkui, Kuijian and Jiancha.

Taiping Houkui is characterized by a clear fragrance from the first brewing, strong taste from the second and a faint fragranca from the third and fourth.

The middle-brewing method is applied. Tall porcelain cups are best for cup infusion.
